Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 15, 2026
At Siftly, we believe your privacy is fundamental. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and handle your personal information when you use our platform. We are committed to transparency and giving you control over your data.
1 — Information We Collect
Personal Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and company information (optional). This helps us provide you with a personalised experience and keep you updated.
Document Data
When you upload documents for extraction, we temporarily process them to extract the data you need. Documents are automatically deleted after processing is complete.
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you use Siftly, including pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns. This helps us improve the platform and your experience.

3 — Data Sharing
We do not sell your data.
We may share your information only in these specific circumstances:
- Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party services (hosting, analytics, payment processing) who help us run Siftly. They are contractually required to protect your data.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Siftly, our users, or the public.
- Business Transfers: If Siftly is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before this happens.

- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest
- Secure authentication and access controls
- Regular security audits and monitoring
- Limited employee access on a need-to-know basis

No system is 100% secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Documents Are Never Stored
Siftly is built around a zero-retention approach to document processing:
- Documents are processed in memory and discarded immediately after extraction
- Extracted data is sent straight to your browser and stored locally on your device
- We never keep copies of your files on our servers
- Your document content is never used to train or fine-tune AI models
- We only track how many extractions you have used, not what was in them

- Update or correct: Change your profile information at any time in your account settings
- Delete your data: Request deletion of your account and associated data

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account:
- Your profile and account information are removed within 48 hours
- Uploaded documents are deleted immediately after processing (or within 24 hours max)
